  i feel like everything that comes out of my mothers mouth is something negative and cringe worthy.

  all she seems to talk about with me is how terrible and demonic our disfellowshipped relatives are, how horrible the world and holidays are, or how she is so much better and "holier than thou".

  it really makes me sick sometimes.

  Stay positive and don't let your mom or anyone else get into your head. Love yourself first and foremost and don't let them put their fears into your heart and mind, as you can see what it has done to them. You will be fine, get a skill/education/degree/or a dream etc. to support yourself, do what makes you happy and stay positive. Real friends and family will come. I have been in your predicament and I made it out fine, and so can you. Enjoy your life, and never stop learning, do onto others as you would want done onto you and stay away from negative, hateful, fearful people JW or not. Your brave and you can do it so stay confident and courageous.

  The JW.org corporation has great PR staff and writers to come up with this stuff. The writers can't be rank and file JW's, they are paid employees with a benefits package.

  This is true OC the JW's believe in myth as well as many religious people... It just depends on which myth you are ok with believing the most, the WBATS are having a hard time keeping their version of a myth alive in this age of information. Some people are still ok with their delusions.

  has anybody else noticed that almost all the jdubs are super arrogant?

  i mean even from just the basic ones to especially the elders and the overseers omg.

  they act like they are so high and mighty that you should just worship them.

  It's like a mandatory part of the JW persona if you want to make it big time as a SUPER JW, and it is like a competition to see who can be the greatest and most self righteous ass-hole in the congregation... This is the single greatest reason I made my exit. They are supposed to be the only true religion and closely imitating Jesus Christ?! Jesus Christ would have spit in their faces...

  Finding out that jws are not what they make out to be

  *warning this is long* it all started on the last day of the "remain loyal to jehovah" convention.

  a little background story, i've been raised as a jw, been in and out of the religon, never baptised but was made an unbaptized publisher about 3 years ago, always felt out of place in the congregation, blamed myself for this because if i had just went to meetings and did all the right things then i would have friends and not be in the mess that i was.

  right after becoming an unbaptized publisher i met my now fiance, end up leaving my mother's house to live with him, elders haven't contacted me about my situation even though i'm sure they know as my step father is an elder...but anyway on the last day of the convention my fiance came with me as i was visiting my mother and had planned to go with her and her husband to the convention.

  Your not alone my friend. It is a cult. I got out three years ago. You will be just fine. The people in the JW cult are brain washed so don't take anything they do personally. This songs lyrics helped me as I was leaving the cult. attached the link on YouTube.
